On April 14th – 16th Speedy SR-22 attended the Mastering Scientific Evidence conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was our first time at this event and we were fortunate enough to meet with attorneys from all over the United States. This particular conference was set up as a nationwide platform for criminal defense attorneys. Not many other insurance companies will go to the lengths that we do when it comes to staying educated and up to date on everything that is happening in the DWI industry. This is why we can proudly say that we are truly your SR22 experts.

Rusty Duncan 2011 a big success!!!

We recently participated in the 24th annual Rusty Duncan advance criminal law course which was held in beautiful San Antonio, Texas on June 9th-11th. This was our second time at the conference and we are working at becoming a fixture at this annual event. Once again we had the pleasure of meeting with many attorneys from across the state that we would not get to otherwise speak with face to face. These DWI events are primarily held for attorneys and their continuing education hours. By attending functions like this across the state insures that Speedy SR-22 keeps abreast with any changes developments in the DWI field. This is one of the ways we make sure that our customers receive the most current, correct, and helpful information available. One more important side note: we would like to congratulate attorney Gary Trichter who became the new TCDLA president at the convention.

Speedy SR-22 Insurance, LLC. is proud to announce that in the next few months with help form Austin Digital Group we will be in production of a few video spots that will eventually be going viral on our website and youtube. We continue to grow and have already helped thousands of Austinites keep the privilege of driving in this great city of ours. What we have noticed is that the general public has no idea what an SR22 is until they get into a situation where they need one. These short ads will be created so that we can educate the public a little more on the subject of SR22’s. As we complete each of these spots we will add them on our website and youtube for our visitors to view.

How do I obtain a Texas certified driving record?

Up until October 29, 2009, there was 4 Texas DPS’ Driver Improvement and Control offices in the state of Texas. They are closed now and this has left us with 2 available options.

Driving records must now be requested from DPS online if the audit number on the license is available. If the audit number is not available the Attorney and/or individual can request the record in writing using DPS’ form DR-1 and mailing $6.00 cashier’s check or money order:

ATTENTION MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS!!!

Have you heard of the TexasSure program now being implemented by the state? TexasSure was set up to prevent uninsured vehicles from being operated on Texas roads. It is estimated that 1 out of 5 vehicles in the state is not insured. Should you get in an accident with one of these vehicles there is a slim chance that you will receive any type of compensation for any personal injuries or vehicle damage. This program will also help keep the costs of motor vehicle insurance down by making sure everyone pays their fair share for driving on our roads.

This is the way TexasSure works. Any vehicle that is registered in the state of Texas will now be kept on a statewide database that will include up to date insurance compliance info for all vehicles registered. Now, anytime an officer pulls up behind you on the road all that he has to do is enter your license plate number into that database and they in an instant he will now if you have current vehicle insurance. If not, you will then receive a citation for non-compliance and, in what is now becoming the standard, your vehicle will also be towed and impounded adding even more costs to you. Your vehicle will not be released to you until you can show adequate proof of obtaining vehicle insurance.

The Toros are the developmental league team for the San Antonio Spurs basketball team.
