Up until October 29, 2009, there was 4 Texas DPS’ Driver Improvement and Control offices in the state of Texas. They are closed now and this has left us with 2 available options.
Driving records must now be requested from DPS online if the audit number on the license is available. If the audit number is not available the Attorney and/or individual can request the record in writing using DPS’ form DR-1 and mailing $6.00 cashier’s check or money order:
Texas Department of Public Safety
Driving Records Bureau
PO Box 149246
Austin TX 78714
512-424-2032
or request online at http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us
Hi there. How long does it typically take to get a driving record after I have sent the from in via mail?
